Trip Down Memory Lane 2007

birth announcement

If you've been watching the ticker on the side you'll see that Peyton's got a big birthday coming up! He's going to be the big 3! He's been such a great blessing in our life and even though he is our little guy still he has a big personality.

If you don't know by now Peyton surprised us 7 weeks early March 26th when he was due May 11th. It was a very stressful day with being worried I was going to get life flighted, then told they were worried I was going to have a baby in the air in the 10 minutes it was going to take to get to Primary Childrens so they were going to take him right when he was born. He surprised everyone with his awesome lungs {bless those steriods the doctor injected into me for 6 weeks} and he only had to be on oxygen for a few hours. 2 days later we finally got to hold the little guy for a little bit, 4 days later it was permanatly and at 6 days old he came home for good and we fed him with a syringe because we couldn't get him to suck that well.

I was so determined not to stay in the hospital anymore and the doctor was afraid to send him home with a feeding tube in case something went wrong so we had to prove to her that we could get him fed and keep his weight up. Isn't that sad? I was told by every single nurse if we went to Primary Children's we would have been in the NICU for over a month. But the doctor and nurses could see that we did everything and we had to take him in to the doctor for weight checks and they threatened if he didn't keep it up they would hospitalize him again.

Here's a few pictures for 2007: Born at 5 lbs 8 oz. Took him home at 4 lbs 14 oz. He now weighs 30 lbs.
