The Weekend

All last week Phil was in Idaho working so the boys and I were home alone all week! It was kind of a lonely week, but on Thursday we went to Draper to stay with Phil's cousin's kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. They had to go to football practice, school, and gymnastics so we stayed with them this time so they could get on the bus and have their busy lives! Honestly their mom has to be so busy making sure all of them are where they are suppose to be along with making sure homework is done when they get home late from all their practices. It was fun though and I know my boys thought it was fun to play with some older kids.

Friday night Phil came home and came up to spend the weekend with us in Draper. It was nice not to be a single parent to 6 kids anymore even though they are such easy going kids! Saturday the kids had some friends over to play football, Jordan joined the big kids and was running around with them. He was exhausted when they were done! Phil joined in the fun for a little bit too...

Peyton being the cheerleader...

Then we took the kids to Layton surf and swim, it is just a fun tide pool. You get tubes and then ride the waves. The older kids were funny to watch, they were making the waves a lot more fun in their tubes!
Here are some pictures of my kids having a blast, Peyton wasn't too sure about the waves though. He did ride with me on the tube for a little bit, but I think he would rather splash the water than be above it, as you can see he enjoyed the popsicle the most. Jordan had so much fun and this year he was big enough for his own tube so he thought that was pretty cool!

The parents came home today so we didn't stay too long, but we sure had a lot of fun with the kids! Hopefully they had some fun with us. Before we left today though Peyton did have a little fall on their hardwood stairs, poor kid is just too daring, I think he may have slipped because he was just in his socks, so here is his little bruise, maybe he decided he needed something on the other side of his face...
