Day Out With Thomas!

Monday we told Jordan that in 3 days we were going to go see Thomas the Train! He was so excited and everyday asked when we were going. On Wednesday I asked him where we were going tomorrow and he said "We get to see Thomas after we sleep!"

So off we went on Thursday morning to the big old city of Heber Valley where Thomas was visiting! He kept looking out the window and when he finally saw Thomas he was all smiles and kept saying Look! Look!

Here is Jordan while we waited in line to get to ride Thomas. We went straight there to make sure we got to sit in the inside cars since it was a little rainy that day! I gave Jordan one of the tickets and he didn't want to let go!

Peyton waiting in line smiling at all the other kids.

I wanted a picture of Jordan on the tracks (they were abandoned ones that ended right where we were standing) he said "No I can't be on the tracks, a train will come!" At least he is smart although this is the only picture I got.

All Aboard! Here we are after we found our seats and were waiting for Thomas to take off! We got them their souviners to play with on Thomas. Jordan got James and a car that came with him, James is one of his favorite trains and the only one we didn't have out of the favorites so we got him that one! Peyton got a musical caboose that plays the Thomas theme song. He LOVED to push the button on it! Today we took Jordan's trains to church and he wanted Peyton to have his train too! It is a little loud for church though!

The ride, we took a little tour of Heber and saw a lot of fields, not much to see there!

Jordan getting a temporary tattoo. He had about 5 choices from his favorite trains, James, Thomas, Percy, and some others. Want to know what he choose? Rosie, the only girl train. We kept asking are you sure? And he said yep, he really liked the color! The sponge was wet and cold and he kept shivering. But he held still really well and thought that his "sticker" was so fun!

The boys and Phil with their picture with Thomas!

One of the tents had trains tracks to set up, besides meeting Thomas this was Jordan's favorite tent!

Saying goodbye to Thomas!

A friend recommended to us to go eat at the Dairy Keen, Home of the Train. So we went there, barely found a parking spot, but the food was really good and the boys were entertained by the Thomas riding around on the ceiling. It was hard to get Jordan to want to eat when he kept staring at Thomas waiting for him to come around to our side of the store!

Peyton had chicken strips, but decided that Jordan's corn dog looked good after Jordan was done! He reached over the whole table to grab it to eat. Jordan didn't care because he ate all that he wanted to. He also saw us dipping our fries in the fry sauce so he reached over me to get to the sauce. He was so maticulous about it and only dipped the fry instead of his whole hand. He sure thought it was good!

It was too cold to sit outside to eat, but when we were done we had to go look at the train tables outside. Jordan thought it was pretty cool and kept saying choo choo! Peyton would try to copy his sounds.

About 10 minutes after we got in the car Peyton was out of it! Thomas really wore him out.

Jordan reading his new Percy book.

He was eating some of my ice cream, but his eyes kept closing. Finally he handed me back the ice cream, put his hand up to his chin and was out! Man I wish I could sleep like that in the car!

All and all we had a fun day and Jordan keeps asking to go back and see Thomas. He gets really disappointed when I tell him that Thomas is gone now.
